Special Education Unit was established in 2007 to cater children and adults with different impairments. They obtain these services from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 2.30pm at Human Link Resource Centre situated and surrounded by beautiful natural [green] environment.

This unit serves the following categories of children & adults:

Class 1 : Montessori >

• Recruitment from age 3 and up-to 5 years

• Tailor-made special curriculum to establish a basic learning foundation.

• Personalized care and unique one to one dialogue

• Usage of specially designed teaching equipment and materials

Class 2 : Visual Impairment >

• Recruitment from age 6 and up-to 18 years

• Braille letters using mainstream school curriculum

• Personalized care and unique one to one dialogue

• Usage of specially designed teaching equipment and materials including Braille machine, LED LightAide, and others. 

Class 3 : Hearing and Speech impairment >

• Recruitment from age 6 and up-to 18 years

• Teaching through sign language using mainstream school curriculum

• Personalized care and unique one to one dialogue

• Usage of specially designed teaching equipment and materials

Class 4 : Slow learners and Learning difficulties >

• Recruitment from age 6 and up-to 18 years

• Developing knowledge and skills through special education system using mainstream school curriculum

• Personalized care and unique one to one dialogue

• Interactive learning equipment and materials are used to during the sessions

Class 5 : Mentally retarded >

• Recruitment from age 6 and up-to 18 years

• Personalized care and unique approach

• Behavioral and continues development programs

• Medical follow up

Class 6 : Skill Development >

• Recruitment from age 6 and up-to 18 years

• Children belongs to Class 2-5 get the access to enter skill development program

• Unique programs are developed to cater different types of impairments

• Meals and refreshment

  • Breakfast and lunch for all the children and staff are provided in all school days.

• Transportation

  • Transportation facilities are very important for these children with disabilities to attend the Resource Centre on time as they are unable to move alone from their residents. And they prefer and happy to travel by private vehicles instead of walking or through public transport. Human Link has been providing up & down transportation facilities to all children and staff in all school days.

• Uniform:

  • Annually providing two sets of uniform cloths to all children.

• Learning Materials.

  • Learning materials and equipment are provided in daily schooling.
